Today will mark the second anniversary of the murder of Tyler Ronald Joseph Keizer, and the Special Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the occupants of a vehicle seen in the area at the time of the homicide.
On November 21, 2016, at 10:47 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of gunshots in the area of Falkland and Gottingen Streets in Halifax. When members arrived, they located Tyler, who had been shot, in a vehicle. He was transported to the QEII Health Sciences Centre with life-threatening injuries and later succumbed to his injuries. An autopsy was conducted and the Medical Examiner ruled Tyler’s death a homicide.
Investigators are releasing a photo of a white Kia Optima seen in the area at the time of Tyler’s homicide and are requesting anyone with information about the vehicle or its occupants to contact police.
Investigators believe there are people who have information that could help solve Tyler’s murder, and hope that the passage of time may encourage someone to do the right thing and come forward with what they know.
