At 10:40 p.m. on December 15, Halifax Regional Police observed two vehicles driving at a high rate of speed on the Bedford Highway, toward Sackville. Police stopped the vehicles on Highways 101 and 102.
A 28-year-old man from Halifax and an 18-year-old man from Hammonds Plains were charged with stunting under the Motor Vehicle Act, a charge that is automatically laid when a vehicle is travelling more than 50 km/h over the speed limit. In addition, both drivers were suspended from driving for one week and their vehicles were seized.
