Weapons complaint GO#19-69645

On May 19, 2019 at approximately 12:42 a.m., police responded to a report of a man entering a pizza restaurant at 364 Windmill Road, Dartmouth with a firearm. The suspect asked about another man who was not in the business. There was an altercation with a staff member and the suspect left. The staff member received a minor injury and was treated by EHS at the scene. Shortly after, a 29-year-old man was arrested in the 300 block of Windmill Road for weapons offences and assault. The investigation is ongoing. The 29-year-old man is facing charges of assault, assault with a weapon, using an imitation firearm during the commission of an offence, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and carrying a concealed weapon. He remains in custody and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court.
