On June 25 at 8:25p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a robbery that just occurred at the Irving gas station at 2499 Robie Street, Halifax. A man entered the business producing a knife and demanded money from the cashier. The suspect left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes. No one involved was injured.
At 8:40 p.m., officers located and arrested the suspect in 2300 block of Gottingen Street. Officers recovered all stolen property and the knife that was used.
The suspect, a 30-year-old man from Halifax is held for court and will be facing charges of Robbery, Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Carrying Concealed Weapon, Breaching Probation Order and Breaching Recognizance.
