Councillor Nancy Hartling is a Prospect resident, where she lives with her husband and two teenage sons.
She is a software developer by trade. For the majority of Nancy’s career, she worked in and contributed to an open-source Content Management System called Drupal. For more than 15 years Nancy acted as a team lead, where she managed a team of developers, architected large platforms, provided timelines and estimates, and provided technical responses to RFPs.
In the community, she volunteers her time as a coach with the Prospect Road Basketball Association and the Prospect Road Community Baseball Association. She is also a member of the Halifax West SAC, the SS Atlantic Society, the Terence Bay Lighthouse Committee, and sits as a non-voting member on the Resource Opportunity Centre Board for the Prospect Road Community Centre.
Nancy is an absolute animal lover, dog owner and an enthusiastic supporter of all things local. Her best days often include a trip to a farmers' market or craft fair, and a big hike to take in the exquisite views of the area she and her family call ‘home’.
