ENToday, Halifax Regional Police is launching a recruitment campaign for its 2019 Cadet Class. Twenty-four successful applicants will be enrolled in the HRP Police Science Program beginning early 2019.

ENAt approximately 10:55 p.m. on April 11, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a break and enter into a laundry room in the 100 block of Evans Avenue in Halifax. Plain clothes officers from the Quick Response Unit set up surveillance and located the suspect on foot. Officers arrested a 34-year-old man from Halifax, without incident, and located break tools in the suspect’s possession.

ENAt approximately 7 a.m., a resident living in the 5000 block of Harris Street in Halifax, observed an adult male attempting to break into his residence while he was home. The suspect fled the area on foot.
