ENAt approximately 2:25 a.m. on February 4, Halifax Regional Police responded to the 0-100 block of Hamshaw Drive in Halifax to the report of multiple vehicles on fire. The investigation is in the early stages, however, the fires are being treated as suspicious at this time.

ENWhile on route one of the responding marked police cars was involved in vehicle collision at Barrington Street and Cornwallis Street in Halifax. The responding police car did have emergency lights and siren activated. No one in either vehicle was injured and both vehicles were towed due to damage.

EN FRHalifax Transit is advising ferry passengers that the Woodside Ferry will be operating on 30-minute service until further notice due to high winds.

ENAt 11:20 p.m. on February 1, a 20-year-old woman was walking along Quinpool Road in Halifax when she was approached by a male who stated he had a knife and demanded money and her cell phone. A 22-year-old man will appear in Provincial Court in the morning facing charges of robbery.

ENA 44-year-old man entered the TD Bank on Spring Garden Road and demanded money. A short while later he was arrested and faces charges of robbery, threats, possession of weapon for dangerous purposes and possession of property obtained by crime.
