Councillor Laura White, P.Eng. has been a resident of HRM as a child, university student and now as a parent. She is passionate about public and active transportation, sustainability and creating an accessible, resilient, and affordable Halifax for all.
Councillor White attended Mount Allison University and Dalhousie University to earn her Mechanical Engineering degree. She was previously employed by Ontario Power Generation and the Nova Scotia Community College.
Councillor White spent much of her free time giving back to the community through her volunteer work. Prior to being elected she was an Engineers Nova Scotia Councillor, served at three District 7 public schools and on the Midwifery Regulatory Council of Nova Scotia. She is a Climate Reality Leader.
She and her partner Cameron are the proud parents to three awesome kids.
