Insurance
All rentals are required to have a $2 million-dollar general liability policy unless otherwise indicated.
AON Canada offers access to an event insurance option which provides organizers and groups affordable access to liability insurance when planning events. Coverage may be obtained for community or family events as well as a wide range of sporting activities (including organized leagues and sport camps).
It is important to note that inclusion in the program is voluntary. Residents may contact any insurance provider to inquire about coverage that best suits their needs. HRM is providing an option for residents to access group liability insurance.

How to Make Payment
E-transfer

- Please include the organization name and the contract number in the note section of your transfer.

Cheque
Drop Off:
- Cheque payments can be dropped off Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm to the HRM Customer Service Centre at 40 Alderney Drive in Dartmouth.
By Mail:
- Halifax Regional Municipality, Attention Facility Scheduling, PO Box 1749, Halifax, NS, B3J 3A5.
- Cheques should be payable to "Halifax Regional Municipality" and include the contract# on the note line.
Maintain Your Records
You should keep accurate records of scheduling transactions for reference in the event of a billing discrepancy, including copies of:
- season contracts
- amendments
- additional requests
- cancellations
Key Sign-out and Return
Keys are required to access some facilities. Key contracts will be issued when required. A deposit of $25 per key will be included in the contract. Failure to return keys by an agreed-upon date will result in a loss of your deposit, and additional fees may be added to the account.

If your event booking includes music, you will have to pay additional charges.
