Registration
We are launching a new online recreation software on April 1, 2025. Summer camp registration will take place on the new registration platform. The /MyREC webpage will remain the same, it will just link to the new system.
Summer Registration Dates
- Monday, April 14, 2025 beginning at 10:00 a.m. for Summer Camps
- Monday, April 14, 2025 beginning at 10:00 a.m. for Summer Inclusion Support requests
Please Note: Registration times for the Canada Games Centre, Cole Harbour Place, Zatzman Sportsplex and St Margaret’s Centre take place at different dates and times. Please visit their websites directly for their registration information.
Payment Plans
A payment plan option is available for summer camps.
Refund Policy
You may withdraw from a program or class by calling our registration line at 902.490.6666 or in person up to five business days prior to the program start date for a full refund.

General Information
- Program descriptions and information to prepare your child for camp can be found in our Summer Program Reference Guide.
- A registration information package containing information on your weekly day camp will be forwarded to registrants in advance of the camp start date. These are the forms that will be found in your registration package:
- If your child requires medication during program time parents/guardians must complete the administration of medication and health care provision form and the anaphylaxis action plan form if applicable.
- The package will contain information that will require parent/guardian signature and must be returned prior to the day camp start date. Non receipt of signed forms and waivers may result in a withdrawal from the day camp.

- Arrival and Pick-up Times

Start and end times vary, there are no early drop-offs or late pick-ups permitted. Parents/guardians must sign their camper in and out each day.
- What to Bring to Camp

- Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing
- Closed-toed sneakers
- Hat & sunscreen
- Reusable water bottle
- Nut-free lunch & snacks
- Swimsuit and towel (if applicable)
- Change of clothes
- Age Requirement

Campers must be the minimum age required on the start date of the program.
- Administration of Medication

If your camper requires medication to be administered or stored during program time please refer to our policies and guidelines.

Children, parents/guardians, and recreation staff share the responsibility of creating and maintaining a positive and inclusive environment. Together, we can support the development of healthy relationships, help facilitate good decision making and achieve positive experiences in a recreational setting for all. - Illness

If a child develops symptoms while attending camp, the child will be isolated from other children and the parent/guardian will be notified to collect the child immediately. If the parent/guardian is not available the emergency contact will be notified.
- Sun Safety Checklist

- Wide-brimmed hat
- Dress your camper in shirts that cover their shoulders. No tank tops.
- Sunscreen (SPF 15+). Please apply before you leave the house in the morning. Pack for camp to reapply later in the day.
- Educate your child on the importance of sunscreen and how to apply it.
- Lip balm and sunglasses are optional.
