How do I apply to volunteer with Halifax Regional Police?

What happens after I apply?
The selection process is similar to a job competition:
- Screening: The Volunteer Programs Coordinator will review all applications and screen in those that meet all of the volunteer position criteria.
- Interview: A panel of two to three people will interview applicants to determine if a volunteer position with Halifax Regional Police is a good fit for them and the organization.
- Security clearance requirements: Applicants will be asked to consent to security processes, including a police background check and personal reference checks.
- Orientation and training: Applicants will be scheduled for the next orientation and training session. After successfully completing the training, applicants are full-fledged volunteers with Halifax Regional Police.
